NFTs will bring adult content to the next level, and we’re ready for it
In our last post Rethinking the porn industry with NFTs, I wrote about how NFTs can help reshape the adult industry for the better. This idea has become even clearer to me as I’ve been brainstorming with NASFTY’s awesome community of content creators. Content creators have been super enthusiastic about the fact that NASFTY will enable them to showcase their creativity. They have amazing plans to invest in production values so they can create the highest quality content, and the results are going to be incredible!
I’ve talked to many content creators who spend a lot of time and effort in conceptualizing, developing, and producing content that will make them stand out. But the adult industry has been pushing creators to generate ever more content, ever faster, and creators have had to compromise to keep up.
Many creators have told me that they feel the platforms for adult content today don’t provide a vehicle for the best creative work that they want to do. As Lexi Miasaki, one of our creators, said to me recently:
“The current platforms we use make us lose value, and kinda ruin our creativity. People there want quantity over quality. I had a lot more creativity before.”
NFTs can change that.
Because the value of an NFT is based on its uniqueness and rarity, NFTs will enable creators to have their artistic and creative works seen, valued, and acknowledged. Content creators will be able to produce collectible objects that will be valued by collectors for their uniqueness and their aesthetics, in addition to their hotness. The scarcity of token supply can flip things around: we’re now talking about quality over quantity.
